Little Child sitting in the rubble
Of the day care center where she used to play
In a senseless new crusade to die in glory
A religious martyr left his mark today.
I can see the tears falling from her cheek
As the rescuers arrive upon the scene
In a moment of debilitating terror
She had lost the mom on which she used to lean
When will it end? When will it end?
When will all this madness ever end?
What kind of world do we live in?
Where beauty gets concealed by all the pain.
Where suicide becomes another tactic
To terrorize, destroy, and also mame.
How could anyone become so calloused?
That their hatred could consume them night and day
When we watch the children turning into orphans
As their families are so coldly ripped away
When will it end? When will it end?
When will all this madness ever end?
So now I pray to you lord Jesus
Take this vision from my eyes
Fill them with your compassion
End this senseless loss of lives
They can take away my possessions
Take my money use it as they may
All I ask is that you watch me always
And never let them take my soul away.
When will it end? When will it end?
When will all this madness ever end?
